“ If you're looking for some pretty dope vegan or vegetarian options and a cup of Joe, Frothy Monkey is the place to be! I wasn't too keen on vegan food as a primary diet, but I love vegetables as much as meat proteins. That said, I was in the mood for a burger and a coffee... Frothy Monkey delivered with a Quinoa & Black Bean burger, and the Rosemary Honey Latte. The burger texture wasn't bad at all, and the flavor was noticeably good to be honest. And that vegan garlic mozzarella is legit! Normally, I'm a plain, black coffee connoisseur but I saw Rosemary and wanted to gamble, and it wins! As I sat and watched the 2nd Ave N traffic breeze by, my palate was being pampered. If I ever find myself in a position where meat protein must be removed from my diet, I know that I have options and can get creative. I love the vibe here, too. Very eclectic, almost boho-ish. The staff was very friendly and gave some great recommendations as well. Oh, and you can order the BE Hive breakfast bowl well after breakfast if your vegan palate is in the mood for some breakfast. Find yourself cruising through Homewood or Downtown Birmingham, I'd recommend stopping in and giving it a solid try, you just might return. ”
“ I was happy to see a new business took over the old Urban Standard location in downtown Bham. I stopped for lunch as I made the drive to Northeast Alabama. The Royale was delicious and I enjoyed the side of chips and salsa as well. I left with a bag of roasted beans and a Golden Monkey iced latte. ”
“ Yelp! Amazing breakfast. We had a sisters sleepover and walked around from the Airbnb to Frothey Monkey. We were seated at the window. It's early, but everyone is ready to serve. We decide on drinks. I got the Turtle Latte, Roxy got a fancy fire pot Chai and Jenny got the fancy Rosemary honey latte all hot. They all taste Amazing. We excited! We are a party of 4. Roxy got the Broadbent Omelette. Jenny got the black bean burger with side salad. Joni got the Royale with multi grain chops and salsa! I got the Farm Breakfast. Everything so good. This stuff here fresh and good. Y'all already know , when I'm happy, I'll be back. ”

The veggies were all so fresh and the chicken was beautifully cooked. Our servers were amazing as well & accommodated our long stay while we were chatting and studying! “ I recently went to brunch this weekend with my family of 8 and we were seated very quickly! The service at Frothy Monkey is amazing! The waitress was so friendly and made sure we didn't need anything. I ended up trying the Be-Hive Bowl. It was delicious but I would've loved for there to be more squash and veggies. I also had their Irish Coffee which was amazing. I'm an expresso Martini girl and it did just the trick ! ”
“ This is the best place. The staff is incredible I have a lot of food allergies and they were super careful with my meal. Vegan you ate safe here. They are attentive friendly and concerned about their community. Really good house red wine. I ordered the vegan blueberries dessert very good forgot to take a photo. I even saw their kindness to a homeless lady which was refreshing to see in this day and age. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good nourishing meal come check them out ”
